When two worlds collide...

Amoungst the masses of people at the Byron Bay surf festival I happened to be drawn to a beautiful earthy lady from New York City called Lisa.  Lisa, her husband a bassist currently playing in Australia, and I became instant friends.  After spending some time getting to know them better, Rob and I put our heads together to come up with my first and much anticipated custom made guitar strap.

Rob Calder is a freelance bassist from New York City.  He has played with some of the most talented Australian bands to date. His portfolio in short consisting of stars like Angus and Julia Stone, Paul Kelly, Ari Hest (NY), Declan O'Rouke (Ireland), Michael Brunnock (NY) 

and Kanye West (USA). 

So my new friends are not just beautiful on the inside and out they are very talented too! Rob has spent the last few weeks mentoring me on making a guitar strap with precision.  To my delight I have released the first Buffalo Girl guitar strap - something I have been dreaming about all year.  

Rob and Lisa have been visiting Australia off and on for the last 2 years and have felt the Byron pull each time.  This time living here for the last 2 months soaking up the nature and relaxed atmosphere the Bay has to offer.  Lovers of riding their bikes everywhere and letting their hair down they find Byron Bay to be "the perfect antidote" for two humble New York City dwellers.

You've been and inspiration to me Rob & Lisa, I am going to miss you guys.... and the jalepeno magaritas!
